Data-Science - Perform Data Analytics using Power BI using the given dataset

This blog is part of a series on using Power BI to generate various reports using the dataset we have. It describes how to import data from an excel datasheet into Power BI, do data analyses, and build reports with various visuals.

Analytical Data

The science of studying raw data in order to draw conclusions about it is known as data analytics. A company’s performance may be improved by using data analytics. Data analytics techniques may be used to any sort of data to get knowledge that can be utilized to improve things.

Trends and metrics that might otherwise be lost in a sea of data can be discovered using data analytics techniques. This data may then be utilized to improve a company’s or system’s overall efficiency by optimizing procedures.

Power BI

A Power BI report is a multi-perspective look at a dataset, with visualizations representing various discoveries and insights from that dataset. A report might include a single graphic or several visuals on multiple pages. A report in Power BI is based on a single dataset. The graphics of a report are created by report designers to illustrate bits of information. The graphics are not static. As the underlying data changes, they update.

For This Session we will use our own dataset on which we have worked on before. you can get dataset from here,

  • Import the dataset.

  • Select tables on which you want to generate a report and click load.

  • Now to include reports click on first icon from right pane view. you will be presented with empty canvas like this.

  • Now to start creating reports select the columns from imported tables using which you want to create reports and than select graph type.

  • Power Bi Provides many of the available graphs on which you can plot your data simply by making few clicks.

  • You can make your reports more attractive by applying different themes to

This is how you can make your reports using PowerBI desktop.
