Data-Science - Consume data with Power BI and how to build a simple dashboard

We will now construct dashboards for the Customer Profitability Sample dataset that is accessible in Power BI, continuing where we left off in the last article. Let’s create dashboards when we’ve loaded the dataset into Power BI.


To create a dashboard you can use This Website of Powerbi. After you login Perform following tasks to create a sample dashboard.


You will not require any data set to perform this walk through so enjoy your stay.


Human Resources Sample


This industry sample dashboard and underlying report analyze a company that manufactures marketing materials. This dashboard was created by a HRS .

  • Create Dashboard in your workspace

  • After that on selecting Samples for the dataset you will see such screen. where many already collected datasets are available. you can choose from any of them but we will stick to customer profitability for now.



  • You can see new dataset files are being loaded in to your workspace. after loading is complete click on workspace form left-bottom pane view.




  • You can get more details about the dataset here, after that click connect.


  • You will be presented with our New Dashboard where you can access Total Revenue, Gross margin in numbers as well as in visual manner.



  • you can edit the excel file and depending on it you will get graph representation.



  • You can modify the setting as per your needs.



So, Like this you can import your own data set and can create a shining Dashboard for you Business Needs.
